The German emissions sticker for motorhomes
Independent, non-governmental site: not an authority’s service, no sticker sales.
Enter the Euro norm from field 14 and, for older diesels, the filter: the check shows whether the motorhome may enter the zone.

35th BImSchV, Annex 2: assignment to emission groups · BMUV table
The 35th BImSchV has no special rule for motorhomes and Annex 3 has no exemption for them: a motorhome needs the green sticker in a low-emission zone like any other motor vehicle. The group follows the engine and the Euro norm. Most motorhomes run on diesel, and many older models are Euro 2 or Euro 3. A Euro 3 motorhome only gets green with a retrofitted particle reduction system; for class M vehicles over 2,500 kilograms gross weight Annex 2 even has its own rule under which stage PM 1 is enough for group 4. A Euro 2 motorhome only reaches yellow, even with a filter. Motorhomes on heavy chassis may fall under Directive 88/77/EEC, in which case the cut-off dates and Euro stages for heavy vehicles apply. Without green, three options remain: the H plate, if the vehicle is at least 30 years old and certified as a classic, an exemption permit from the city, or a pitch outside the zone and onward travel by public transport.

On the road
Many destinations no longer have a zone at all: Freiburg, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Ulm, Tübingen and other cities in Baden-Württemberg have lifted theirs, as have Hanover and Mainz (list of lifted zones). Without green, however, you cannot enter the Ruhr area, Berlin, Cologne, Munich or Stuttgart. The route check shows in advance which places on your way have a zone.
Motorhomes from abroad
A foreign-registered motorhome has the same obligation. Without proof of the norm, section 6 presumes the group from the first registration; a 2004 diesel motorhome would then count as group 3 even if it meets Euro 4. Take the certificate of conformity with you when ordering the sticker.
